Hurghada: a mild winter on the Red Sea
The official destination profile highlights beach resorts, coral reefs, water sports, markets and the marina. Winter sunshine does not imply guaranteed summer heat: the country portal recommends a light to medium jacket or windbreaker for autumn and winter.
Our suggestion: choose accommodation around your actual daily plans and allow alternatives for unsuitable weather. Check entry conditions for your nationality using the official visa portal linked by the tourism body; do not transfer another Egyptian destination's entry arrangements to Hurghada.

Dubai: city sights and outdoor days
Dubai's official site highlights October to April for outdoor activities. The government portal describes UAE winters as warm, but the eastern mountains as cooler. A city visit and a mountain excursion therefore need different weather planning.
Our suggestion: check your chosen sights and their actual admission slots in advance. Event suggestions on a seasonal page do not confirm dates for winter 2026/27. Use the current programme and each operator's actual booking terms.

Phuket and Krabi: choose the right coast
On 20 October 2026, TAT describes the Andaman season opening and expects the dry season to settle in by December. October and early November can still bring rain; high waves can affect boat trips. The tourism body recommends allowing a spare day.
Our suggestion: check December/January ferries and island accommodation early, and avoid a tight connection between a weather-dependent boat and an important flight. TAT notes electronic tickets and having a passport ready for several marine national parks. Read current operator and park guidance for the actual excursion.
This does not apply to all of Thailand: TAT describes a different rainy season for Gulf islands Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, with most rain from September to December.

No. Phuket and Krabi are on the Andaman coast. TAT describes a different rainy season for Gulf islands Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. Check the specific coast and current forecast.
Does winter sun guarantee beach weather?
No. Seasonal guidance is not a forecast for individual days. Allow for cooler, windy or rainy days and pack suitable layers.
