How much eSIM data for 7 days in Turkey?
✓ Prices checked 22 Oct 2026For 7 days in Turkey with normal daily use, TripUtils estimates 3–5 GB. A 5 GB plan is the usual buffer. Not a live price. City maps, messaging and ride-hail fit normal use. Turkey is a typical destination where a travel eSIM replaces a carrier day-pass rather than topping up EU roaming.

Roaming in Turkey on an Austrian plan: what A1 and Drei charge
Turkey is outside EU roam-like-at-home, so the EU data in an Austrian plan does not apply there. Published prices, checked on 22 Oct 2026 (euros incl. VAT):
| Network | Option | Data | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| A1 | Roaming Pass (Zone 1) | per started GB | €4.90 |
| A1 | A1 Roaming Datenwoche Welt | 1 GB, 7 days | €9.90 |
| Drei | Roaming-Paket Go | 1 GB, 15 days | €5.00 |
| Drei | Roaming-Paket Go Select | 5 GB, 15 days | €10.00 |
| Drei | Roaming-Paket Türkei Unlimited | unlimited, 15 days | €25.00 |
For the 5 GB planning size (7 days), A1’s Roaming Pass would bill 5 × €4.90 = €24.50, the A1 Roaming Datenwoche Welt 5 × 1 GB = €49.50 (packages run 7 calendar days, Austrian time, and can be stacked); on Drei, 1 package (Go Select) cover it for €10.00. A1 says the Roaming Pass is switched on automatically for every tariff signed since 24 June 2026, and it blocks roaming data at a default limit of €60, which you can raise yourself.
Magenta prices depend on the tariff — look them up in Magenta’s roaming finder. Older tariffs without these options can cost more. Sources: A1, Drei, Magenta.

Common questions
Is 5 GB enough for 7 days in Turkey?
City maps, messaging and ride-hail fit normal use. Turkey is a typical destination where a travel eSIM replaces a carrier day-pass rather than topping up EU roaming. The 3–5 GB estimate plus buffer lands on 5 GB. Hotel Wi‑Fi is not counted. Streaming video on mobile is the usual reason to go larger.
Should I roam in Turkey instead?
Turkey is outside EU roaming. As of 22 Oct 2026, A1’s Roaming Pass bills €4.90 per started GB there (zone 1) and Drei sells 1 GB for €5, 5 GB for €10 or “Türkei Unlimited” (unlimited) for €25, valid 15 days. Compare that with an eSIM quote for the same GB.
Do you show live Saily prices?
