Bosnia and Herzegovina eSIM

How much eSIM data for 30 days in Bosnia and Herzegovina?

✓ Prices checked 22 Oct 2026

For 30 days in Bosnia and Herzegovina with normal daily use, TripUtils estimates 12–18 GB. A 20 GB plan is the usual buffer. Not a live price. Sarajevo, Mostar and mountain roads are normal use for maps and messaging. Saily’s own Bosnia and Herzegovina plans stop at 5 GB, so longer trips usually need the Balkans regional plan or a top-up.

What to do next

EU roaming does not cover Bosnia and Herzegovina. A 20 GB plan is the usual buffer. Open Saily and pick a live Bosnia and Herzegovina plan.

Roaming in Bosnia and Herzegovina on an Austrian plan: what A1 and Drei charge

Bosnia and Herzegovina is outside EU roam-like-at-home, so the EU data in an Austrian plan does not apply there. Published prices, checked on 22 Oct 2026 (euros incl. VAT):

NetworkOptionDataPrice
A1Roaming Pass (Zone 1)per started GB€4.90
A1A1 Roaming Datenwoche2 GB, 7 days€4.90
DreiRoaming-Paket Go1 GB, 15 days€5.00

For the 20 GB planning size (30 days), A1’s Roaming Pass would bill 20 × €4.90 = €98.00, the A1 Roaming Datenwoche 10 × 2 GB = €49.00 (packages run 7 calendar days, Austrian time, and can be stacked). A1 says the Roaming Pass is switched on automatically for every tariff signed since 24 June 2026, and it blocks roaming data at a default limit of €60, which you can raise yourself. Drei packages last 15 days, so a longer trip needs packages for each period.

Magenta prices depend on the tariff — look them up in Magenta’s roaming finder. Older tariffs without these options can cost more. Sources: A1, Drei, Magenta.

Common questions

Is 20 GB enough for 30 days in Bosnia and Herzegovina?

Sarajevo, Mostar and mountain roads are normal use for maps and messaging. Saily’s own Bosnia and Herzegovina plans stop at 5 GB, so longer trips usually need the Balkans regional plan or a top-up. The 12–18 GB estimate plus buffer lands on 20 GB. Hotel Wi‑Fi is not counted. Streaming video on mobile is the usual reason to go larger.

Should I roam in Bosnia and Herzegovina instead?

Bosnia and Herzegovina is outside EU roaming. As of 22 Oct 2026, A1’s Roaming Pass bills €4.90 per started GB there (zone 1), the A1 Datenwoche gives 2 GB for 7 days for €4.90, and Drei sells 1 GB for €5 (valid 15 days). Compare that with an eSIM quote for the same GB.

Do you show live Saily prices?

No. The plan table on this page is a dated snapshot from saily.com (22 Oct 2026); the live price is always on Saily. The GB figures are TripUtils estimates.
